Summer Boho Vibes

I normally stick with classic styles in my wardrobe but this fringey top put out such a fun summer boho vibe I had to try it!  I paired it with two boho inspired necklaces (I love layering jewelry!), slightly distressed skinny jeans (cuffed for the warmer weather and the beach location), a classic straw tote and super cute (and comfy) animal print wedges.

Savvy Style Tip: Head-to-toe theme or trend dressing is okay for teens and twenties but as you get older only wear a piece or two of a theme or trend at a time and go with more classic pieces for the rest of your outfit.

Boho-Glam

I don't "do" traditional boho well.  I can't fully embrace it for myself even though I love the look on other girls!  I always end up glamming boho up a bit like I did here.  By adding leopard heels (that have been on constant repeat lately), blingy/fabulous chandelier earrings and a statement bag I took a dress that's slightly out of my comfort zone and made it more me and my version of boho...Boho-Glam.  And that's what fashion is all about, isn't it?  Creating your own style?

What I'm Wearing ~
Dress: American Thread | Similar
Shoes: Steve Madden (I should have bought them in every color - I wear them all the time!)
Bag: Louis Vuitton Trocadero (my bag is via Agora Vintage)
Earrings: Stella & Dot

These are my favorite earrings right now.  I love the orange and pink color combo plus the fact that they convert from chandeliers to studs!!

How do you take something that's out of your comfort zone and make it your style?

P.S. I just became an Independent Stella & Dot Stylist!  I fell in love with Stella & Dot a few months ago and becoming a stylist just seemed like the natural thing to do!  I'm so excited!!  You can check out my brand new online boutique HERE!!
