I've been sitting here staring at the pics I'm posting today trying to figure out what seems off about my outfit. I love the colors (and so does the husband, which is big because he rarely comments on my clothes). The bright pink maxi skirt and the cobalt jacket grounded by the heather gray tee are color perfection, so no problem there. I adore the necklace, I know I've featured it in at least one other post and it makes me happy every time I put it on, so no problem there. I think my issue with the outfit is the shape and sizing. I'm a height challenged girl and wearing a maxi can be a little overwhelming to my frame. I've worn this skirt and other maxi's before but I usually toss on wedges or a higher bootie shoe instead of ballet flats and pair it with a more figure skimming top. The jacket I bought a size larger than I would normally wear. I had a vision in my head how it would flow over the maxi or colored skinny jeans...the vision is not the reality! Haha! It just looks too big which looks a little dumpy. Oh well, I tried right? My mission now is to restyle this skirt in a future post so you can see its full potential. But even though it's an outfit fail do enjoy the rainbow bright colors and the seriously happy, garden-party-around-the-neck necklace!
Happy rest of the weekend! Thanks for reading!
