Leopard is Always a Good Idea

Can you believe Christmas is less than ten days away?  I have just started my Christmas shopping - like yesterday - so between the day job, blog, Stella & Dot and getting ready for the quickly approaching holiday I'm running crazy!  What do you wear when you're running from one thing to the next?  I reach for comfy leggings (leather or pointe knit are my favorites), a tunic top (leopard is always a good idea, it makes any outfit chic), a stylish cardi (this one is from The Loft Boutique and I'm loving the fringe and fabulous wine color!), flat boots and a cross body bag that's easy to sling on and go!

Coats for Every Occasion

You could spend hours planning your outfit and getting dressed but if you toss on a ratty, less-than-chic coat before heading out the door it ruins your entire look.  Put on a great coat, even if you are wearing only a sweatshirt and jeans, and you look instantly put together.  Here are a few of my favorites of this season ~ coats for every occasion.  (A few of these are going to be under my Christmas tree this year!  Thanks Santa!)

Which is your favorite?

All of these coats are currently on sale AND an additional 30%, 35% or 40% off depending on how much you spend!  30% off if you spend $50 with code SPEND50, 35% off if you spend $150 with code SPEND150 and 40% off (my choice!) if you spend $200 with code SPEND200

Just click HERE and shop away (don't forget to use the codes at checkout)!  (A fabulous coat makes a great gift too!)

Retro Inspired Style with Voodoo Vixen

I've always loved the feminine look of retro clothes and fit and flare dresses are my all time favorite style for my body.  I've got curves so I might as well make the most of them, right?  So when I received this dress from Voodoo Vixen I not only fell in love with the style but the bold black and white checkered pattern and the sweater knit fabric ~ perfect for fall!  I decided to pair the dress with black and white striped pumps and added pops of color with a hot pink bag and lip.  I've got another Voodoo Vixen dress coming to the blog soon and it's the perfect holiday party dress!  Get a sneak peek of the dress here.

Yes, these pictures were taken over a month ago, hence the green trees and bare arms and legs!

What I'm Wearing ~
Dress: c/o Voodoo Vixen
Striped Pumps: Forever 21 (sold out) {Identical here}
Bag: Kate Spade (sold out) {Similar here}
Bracelets and Earrings: Stella & Dot
Pink Lip: Revlon Sweetheart Valentine (my favorite lip color!)

Are you a fan of retro style like I am?  I can't wait to share my next Voodoo Vixen dress with you all!

Baseball Inspired Sweatshirt and Leather Pants

I got this sweatshirt/sweater during my trip to The Loft Boutique back in November when they invited me to their Cheers to Nine Years celebration (see my post on this fabulous shop and the event here).  The Hubs actually picked this top out for me.  I think he likes it because it's baseball inspired.  I like it because of the mixed media aspect (I'm a fan of anything with texture) and... that it's really comfortable! It goes well with jeans and of course, leather pants, which are my obsession this season.

How cool is this wall?  I just love shooting pics in downtown Athens!

What I'm Wearing ~
Black and white baseball inspired, mixed media sweatshirt: The Loft Boutique (similar here)
Faux leather pants: K-La (identical here)
Booties: Private Gallery Athens (LOVE these!!)
"How Does She Do It" bag: Stella & Dot (this pattern is sold out - same style, different fabric here)
Rose Gold Rebel Pendant
Pave Spear Necklace
Pave Triangle Cuff
Inspire Bracelet
Inspiration Bangle

I'm a fan of metallic nails ~ especially for the holidays! I'm wearing Sienna by Julep.

What are you loving (or obsessed with) this season?

Christmas Wish List

So here we are, finishing up the first week of December, thinking about the holidays to come and planning on what gifts to buy for everyone on our list (or wrapping those we have already bought). I keep running gift lists on my phone year round for everyone near and dear to me.  Each person has a list and when they mention something they want or need I add it to their list.  I keep a list for myself too and just in case anyone was wondering what I'm wishing for this Christmas...

Simply Simple

Do you ever have those days where you are in a hurry to get out the door but are drawing a complete blank on what to wear?  I've felt this way a lot lately (especially since most of my days start at 4:15am!) so I have pulled together a few "simply simple", wear just about anywhere, I can put it on in five minutes and still look cute outfits that I keep in the front of my closet so I can just grab and go on those days.  Tone on tone or one color outfits are usually fail proof and look instantly chic.  Audrey Hepburn was a master of the one color outfit.  Her simply simple style of cropped skinny pants, a sweater, chic flats and of course, pearls, is classically timeless and a look I find myself gravitating towards in my own wardrobe and wearing on repeat.  I love other one color outfits like gray with gray or white with white but I tend to gravitate towards black with black (I guess it's the Audrey in me!).

What I'm Wearing ~
Sweater: Gap (30% off online with code HAPPY)
Jeans: Old Navy (25% off with code ONSAVENOW) I sized up two sizes to give them a skinny-boyfriend look.
Skimmers: Charlotte Russe (old) ~ Identical
Clutch: Urban Expressions c/o Encore Athens ~ Similar
Necklace: Stella & Dot (It can be worn several ways!)
Bracelet: Stella & Dot (On SALE!!)
Earrings: Stella & Dot (So classic!!)

What are your simply simple go-to outfits?

Sequins For the Holiday's (or any day!)

Hey everyone!  I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend!  I sure did!  It was beyond wonderful to have a few days off of the day job, spend time with family and friends, sleep in, and eat some yummy food!!

As I mentioned in last week's Thanksgiving outfit idea post, when I think of dressing for the holidays and for holiday gatherings I think of sequins!  Today's look would be perfect for a dinner out, holiday party, Christmas Eve services, a family get-together, brunch with the girls or just about any occasion that comes your way this season!  BTW, I did wear sequins for Thanksgiving as well, I just didn't get any blog pictures...it wasn't a priority that day.  I plan on re-creating the outfit and posting it on the blog soon.  It was a combo of outfit one and two in last week's post!
