All The Things...

Call this November Must Haves, my birthday wish list (hint, hint) or an early holiday shopping guide, all I know is... I want all the things!

1.  Kendra Scott Choker Necklace ~ A trend I'm glad has made a comeback & I hope is here to stay!
2.  Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics ~ Naked pallets 1, 2 and 3 are the bomb so I can only imagine how great their ultimate pallet is!
3.  Spanx Faux Leather Leggings in Wine and Spanx Seamless Camouflage Leggings ~ I own two pairs of Spanx leggings already, Moto Leggings and Faux Leather Leggings in Black, and they are on constant repeat so I figured the wine and camo would be great additions to my fall/winter wardrobe.
4.  NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Vault ~ The ultimate gift set for a NYX lippie lover like me!
5.  Kendra Scott Naomi Double Ring ~ I've not tried the double ring trend but this one makes me want to!
6.  Camo Ball Cap ~ I love camo, I love leather and this ball cap is perfect for days when dry shampoo has done all it can do for the week!
7.  Olive Green Lace-up Sweater ~ The color, tunic style and lace-up detail are perfection!
8.  Vera Bradley Sagebrush Satchel in Canyon Sunset ~ You knew I couldn't have a wish list without a Vera Bradley bag on it!  I'm loving the gorgeous orange-red color of this tote and the leather is as soft as butter!
9.  Velvet Blazer in Wine ~ Perfect for the upcoming holidays and for any day you want to feel fabulous!
10. Adidas Superstar Sneaker ~ The current "IT" shoe (there is one every season).  They will look so cute with all of my Spanx leggings! ;-)

What's on your list?!

W Thinks Pink Cure on the Catwalk Recap

For a second year I was asked to be part of the W Thinks Pink Cure on the Catwalk to benefit the Pink Heals Foundation and it's an honor for me to be chosen to be part of such a great event! I have several family members and close friends who are cancer survivors or are currently undergoing chemo for this awful disease so to be chosen to give back in this way means a lot!

Blogger/stylists from the Southern Blog Society were paired up with cancer survivors for styling sessions at the Shops Around Lenox to help them (and us) get runway ready for the fashion show/charity event the took place at the W Hotel Buckhead on September 30th.  I was paired up with Erika, an amazing, beautiful and extremely cool, two time breast cancer survivor.  We were so excited to be assigned to bevello,  a huge, gorgeous shop full of stunning fashions and accessories!  Our only dilemma was deciding which of the fabulous outfits to choose!  Erika and I decided since this was a special event and we were going to be walking the runway that we would go with dresses and heels ~ which is a little different than the every day norm for both of us.  We chose Erika's dress first ~ a flirty raspberry colored dress that really showed off here amazing legs!  I chose mine next ~ a knit column dress in gray with black waist detail.  For shoes Erika wore her own floral pumps, because they were too perfect with the dress not too, and I wore black suede Steve Madden pumps also provided by bevello.  The ladies of bevello were great to work with and so very helpful!  They really did everything they could to make our shopping experience fun and successful.  Both Erika and I ended up purchasing a few other things on our shopping trip as well!  Our next stop was Kendra Scott, also at the Shops Around Lenox, who provided our gorgeous jewels for the event.

On the day of the fashion show we arrived early at the W Hotel for hair and makeup, done by the talented crew of Van Michael Salon.  After a fashion show run through we moved to the dressing room to put on our own "party clothes" for the pre-fashion show cocktail hour.  At the cocktail hour we got to visit with family, friends and event attendees before heading back to the dressing room to get into our runway clothes.  Along with the survivors and blogger/stylists, Atlanta's most eligible bachelors were part of the show and did a fabulous job escorting the survivors down the catwalk.  Josh Murray from the Bachelorette was the night's special guest/head bachelor (even though he's taken) and he was a lot of fun! What a sweet guy!  Andi is a lucky girl!  We all strutted our stuff in front of a sold out crowd.  All the night's proceeds went directly to the Pink Heals Foundation.  It was a night to remember for all involved!  I really hope they ask me to be a part of the event again next year!  I have a very special friend who is currently undergoing her third battle with breast cancer and I want her to strut her stuff with me at the next Cure on the Catwalk!!

Where there are bloggers there are selfies! ha!  Me and the stunning Sabrina of Simply Sabrina.

It's ok to be jealous! Yes, Josh is as sweet as he is handsome!

My family came to the event to show their support.  My girls and I during the cocktail hour.  We never met a step and repeat we didn't like! ha!

I loved getting to know and spend time with this beautiful lady!

Blank Canvas

Last night I attended a "blank canvas" party at the new Kendra Scott store in Buckhead (Georgia) hosted by two fab blogger friends, Lauren of Fashionably Lo and Megan of Lush to Blush.  A "blank canvas" party is where you wear all white so when you try on all the fabulous jewels provided by the hosting shop they pop against your "blank canvas".  I love an all white outfit, especially in the summer, so I was really excited this was the theme of the night!  It was also a great chance to wear the new white and gold ring I just received from 9th & Elm.  I think the only time it's left my finger since it arrived in my mailbox is to sleep, shower and run!

I met two of my blogger besties, Whitney and Blaire of Peaches In A Pod, for dinner before the event. Whitney and Blaire are two Georgia peaches who are best friends, neighbors and blog together making them two "peaches in a pod" ~ so cute, right!?!  They sweetly offered to take blog pictures for me with their REAL camera!  That's right, a real camera, not the usual iPhone photos I always take.  Blaire wanted me to see the difference in how the real camera pictures look to encourage me to break out of my "iPhone only" box and learn how to use my camera.  Well, Blaire was right...the real camera pictures are so much sharper and clearer!  You can actually see the details of my outfit!  Now my goal is to figure out the little point and shoot camera I got for Christmas and maybe once I master that I can invest in a real blogger camera!

What I'm Wearing ~
Sheer Floral Lace Top: Forever 21
Origami Skort: Forever 21
Orange Bag: T.J. Maxx (old) Similar here
Snake Skin Ankle Strap Sandals: Sam Edelman c/o Encore
Tassel Necklace: Forever 21 (sold out) I just ordered this one from Stella & Dot and I can't wait to wear it!!
Ring: Rings Eclectic c/o 9th & Elm

Details

Let's talk about this ring for a minute...it's from a website called 9th & Elm, which sells handmade items from independent designers.  This specific ring is from a shop on the site called "Rings Eclectic" and since I love eclectic, different, statement making pieces this one is me to a T!!  I've already got my eye on one (or two) more like this one and this one.  9th & Elm also has other jewelry, handbags, monogrammed items, phone cases, clothing, kids and baby's stuff, shoes, vintage and otherwise cool stuff!

Okay y'all, what do you think?  Does the picture quality in today's post look a lot better than usual?  I really think it does so it's time for me to drop my iPhone camera dependency and use a real camera!  Now if I can just figure it out!

Jumpsuits and Red Suede Shoes

As I mentioned before, two of my favorite trends this season are cage sandals and jumpsuits/rompers.  I can't get enough of either one.  Fortunately there are so many cute, affordable options out there that I can indulge in my newest obsession without guilt (and look on-trend doing it!).

Saturday I went to a bridal shower for one of my daughter's best friends and decided to wear this jumpsuit.  The best thing about jumpsuits is the one-piece dressing!  Pull it on, toss on a few accessories and a pair of shoes and you can head out the door.  My daughter had the same idea and wore a cute little black romper I gave her for her birthday a few weeks ago.  By the end of the summer people will be saying, "there go those Herrin girls in their jumpsuits again".  And I'm OK with that!

What I'm Wearing~
Jumpsuit: Forever 21 (It comes in two gorgeous colors...and I have them both!  Sorry I didn't think to get pictures of the back ~ it has a gathered t-back ~ super cute (and you can still wear a bra!)
Red Cage Sandals: Michael Antonio (these too come in several colors)
Turquoise Necklaces: Old, I'm craving this one by Kendra Scott
Bag: Michael Kors (last year's, this one is the current season)
Sorry my hair looks like who'd a thunk it (that was one of my very southern friend, Mandy's favorite sayings!).  I was running super late for the shower after my Saturday long run and pulled my it-takes-an-hour-to-dry wet hair into a knot and it dried kind of funky!)

What Megan's Wearing~
Romper: Forever 21 (this style is sold out in all black but they have it in black with white polka dots and this gorgeous romper comes in black or hot pink)
Wedges: Jessica Simpson (old, but here's a similar option)
Green Bubble Earrings: Entourage (loving these from Kendra Scott)

(I look like I'm waiting for my bag to move or something! haha! Blogger pose problems!)

What do you think of the romper/jumpsuit trend comeback?  If you are unsure I say, "try it, you'll like it!!"
