Saying Goodbye to Summer

This is it ~ today's the last official day of summer and tomorrow, at 4:21am, will begin my favorite season of the year ~ fall!!  Now if the weather here in Georgia would magically cooperate...

What better outfit to say "goodbye" to summer in than my favorite trend of the season, a jumpsuit, in my favorite colors of the season, turquoise, white and purple.  And I'm happy to report that the jumpsuit trend isn't going anywhere as the temps get cooler.  I've got a few perfect-for-fall jumpsuits on my radar like this one, that's a great option for date night or an evening on the town, and this one (which I just ordered), that would be perfect for a business/casual office or brunch with friends.

~ What I'm Wearing ~

Jumpsuit: Forever 21 | It's on sale for under $20!!
Lace-up Sandals: Target (sold out) | Almost identical pair here
Straw Bag: Old | Similar
Earrings: Stella & Dot (can be worn three ways!)
Necklace: Stella & Dot (I'm wearing the top piece)

What trend did you wear this summer that you'll be carrying on into the coming season?

I'll be back later this week with some early fall fashion!

JORD and a Jumpsuit

I love a good jumpsuit and I love a good piece of jewelry.  What's even better is when they are both functional and fabulous!

Jumpsuits are easy to toss on and go.  They can work for all kinds of occasions ~ from brunch with friends to dinner out with The Hubs, from a business casual office to a red carpet event ~ I've worn a jumpsuit for all of these environments and events.  It's all about the accessories and completer pieces you pair with your one piece wonder.

My iPhone replaced my watch years ago but when I was introduced to these beautiful JORD wood watches I knew I had to add one to my daily arm party.  I'm all about unique pieces and JORD does them well!  They have watches for both men and women in all different woods, shapes, faces and sizes.  They also fit the watch to you before it's shipped out so it comes ready to wear!  This Kora Wood and Rose Gold beauty is next on my wish list!

~ What I'm Wearing ~

Olive Utility Jumpsuit: Forever 21 | The one I'm wearing just sold out online but I found a few more almost-identical options HEREHERE and HERE that are all under $35!  I'm ordering the long sleeve version in blue for fall.
Gold Wedges: Y'all these things are soooo old and they are still some of my favorites!  They are by Steve Madden and currently not available (because they are so old, ha!).  Here are a few similar options ~ ZapposDV by Dolce VitaCandie's (These are under $25!)
Tote: Tory Burch | I've been carrying this bag for three summers now and I still love it.  Nothing says "summer" like a straw and metallic tote!  HERE's another great summer tote you can carry now and pull out again next summer!
Necklaces: Stella & Dot Hibiscus Pendant (you can wear it in three different lengths) and Zuni Necklace (it's four necklaces in one!)
Bracelets: Pearl Spike Cuff and Sawyer Stretch Bracelet
Wood Watch: JORD
Pedi Polish: Turquoise by Absolute New York
Mani Polish: Southern Belle by Sinful Colors | I was given this polish color for review.  It's not available yet online.  HERE's a similar shade.

How fun is this wall?!?! I love my beautiful town!

Side note ~ Olive is my color obsession right now.  It pairs beautifully with any color from other neutrals to bold brights and it transitions from season to season.

Looking Back At Last Year's Beach Style

We are two days (three if you count our travel day) in to our annual family beach vacation (slow down week!!) and I decided it would be fun to take a look back at a few of the outfits I wore for last year's beach getaway ~

I love using a big scarf as a beach coverup!  THIS ONE is with me this year.

White denim cutoffs are a must for the beach, don't you think?  I've packed THESE for this week's trip.  They are the perfect length (they cover that awful thigh bulge) and are mid rise (so no muffin-top!).

You know how much I LOVE jumpsuits and of course I've packed one for this vacation.  I'll be wearing THIS abstract print jumpsuit for one of our dinners out.

Anything neon looks great with a tan and goes so well with white shorts or white jeans.

Are you heading to the beach this summer?  What are your favorite wardrobe pieces to bring along?

Springing Forward

Once the whole "spring forward" thing happens I start thinking about spring clothes.  Since the weather and temps are completely unpredictable this time of the year, adding a few new pieces to my already existing wardrobe that can be worn now when it's cooler (with a jacket or cardigan and pumps or booties) and later when things warm up (alone with sandals) is the perfect way to freshen up my transition wardrobe.  Here are a few pieces that I have my eye on...and a few I've already added to my spring closet!

This pretty, feminine dress would look great worn with a denim jacket and booties now and worn alone with a bright sandal and fabulous statement necklace later.

The long sleeves on this cute polka dot romper make it three-season appropriate.

This jumpsuit looks so comfy!  Wear it with a boyfriend cardigan until the temps rise.  Add bright pumps and a fun statement necklace to make the outfit date night perfect!

This dress is a new addition to my closet, is on sale for under $45 and can be worn year round.  I'll be wearing this pretty white sheath for Easter with this spring perfect necklace and floral pumps.

This gorgeous floral romper is spring perfection!  It's already sold out (no wonder, right?) but I'm on the wait list for when it's restocked and you should be too!

I bought this jumpsuit the minute I saw it.  It was definitely love at first sight!  It quickly sold out (I guess lots of other girls fell in love too!) but I found a few similar styles for you here and here.  I think this long layered pendant will look perfect with all three!

A pastel mani is the perfect way to bring some spring into your life no matter the temps.  LuLuAli and Janet are my new favorites!

Are you ready to put a little spring in your wardrobe?

Summer Review

I know that the official end of summer isn't until later this month but once Labor Day has come and gone everyone is thinking fall...at least I know I am!!  Fall is my FAVORITE time of the year for many reasons but the fall fashion is at the tippy top of the list so I'm going to try to start the summer to fall wardrobe transition.  The weather here in Georgia doesn't usually cooperate with my desire for layers, sweater, boots and such as early as September but I'm going to give it a shot!  Here is a little look back at some of this summer's favorite looks.  And yes, the majority of the pics were BMP (before my photographer) so they aren't the best quality.
