Vintage Coat

You can tell from the leaves on the trees that these pictures are from a while back. Early December I think. Some weeks I get a chance to snap pics every day but get behind on posts so the pics pile up in my "to be blogged" file. I decided to go through my file and post some of my favorite never-blogged-before outfits.

When choosing an outfit I usually pick one key piece and then build on it. For instance with this outfit ~ I knew I wanted to wear this coat so that was my foundation/key piece then I added the shirt to go with the gray in the coat, then the pants to pull out the orange, the necklace for the bling factor (bling factor is important!) and the skimmers because it was going to be a long day on my feet and I like a pointy toed shoe with cropped trousers. Pattern, texture, color, detail, bling ~ all those elements make an outfit complete and interesting.

Let me talk about this coat for a minute. My sisters-in-law were out shopping at a antique's market and they called to tell me about this gorgeous vintage coat they found. It was in great condition, was my size and was only $20 so of course I told them to get it for me! The detail and quality are amazing. I wish the tag was still inside so I knew who made it! I love a great, unique vintage find, don't you?

Have a savvy and stylish Tuesday!!
