Concert Style

Today I was planning on doing a post on yesterday's plaid on plaid on plaid outfit that I put a little sneak peak of on Instagram but last night my daughters, niece and I went to Star 94 Atlanta's Jingle Jam concert, I posted a picture of my outfit on Instagram this morning and have gotten several inquires about it so I decided to change today's planned post and feature last night's concert outfit instead.  Plaid on plaid on plaid will have to wait until tomorrow!

When thinking about what to wear to the concert I immediately thought "leather" and I decided to build my outfit around that.  I went with my favorite faux leather leggings which I got last year at Target ~ the ones I love so much I bought two pair just in case something happened to one of them and I wear so much they are becoming my uniform!  On a quick pick-up-a-few-things-for-Christmas run to T.J.Maxx yesterday (this time of the year is FULL of those!) I grabbed this cute sweater/top.  It's all business in the front and party in the back ~ kind of the mullet of sweaters!  I thought the sheer back was a lot of fun.  For the concert I put a bandeau under it but for every day wear I'll wear it with a cami.  In my mind I had three choices as far as footwear went when it came to what would work for this outfit ~ black suede booties, leopard wedges or knee high suede boots.  I went with the boots because I love the look of leather tucked into suede.  Kind of edgy and perfect for a concert.  I chose simple accessories because I know I'd be moving around a lot (ie: dancing) and I didn't want anything to get in the way!

We had the BEST time at the concert!  How could we not with Colbie Caillat, Avril Lavigne, The Fray, Goo Goo Dolls and the BACKSTREET BOYS performing!  We had great 7th row seats, my girls and I got a stage shout out from my sweet, dear friend, Cindy, of Star94 (which made my girls' night) and I finally got to meet two of my favorite Instagram/Facebook/Twitter friends, Jimmy and Casey! My ears are still ringing and I'm super tired from being up until 1:00am but it was worth it to see my girls and niece have such a great time!

Hope you all had a wonderful Tuesday!

I like how the front looks completely different from the back - uniqueness is great in fashion. I would never think of "leather" for concert but it works. You looked lovely in your outfit.
