How do you dress cozy and warm when the temps drop?

Cozy
Winter decided to visit Georgia during the night last night. We woke up this morning to temps in the 20's. Rare for Georgia this time of the year. So rare in fact we set a new "record low". It was hard getting out of the cozy bed and just as hard trying to decide what to wear. I had planned on a skirt for today but quickly changed my mind when I saw how cold it was. Cords to me are the perfect cozy, cold weather pants. These are especially great because they are skinnies so I could tuck them in to riding boots and my feet were warm too. Cableknit sweaters also are a cold weather staple. I think 50% of the people I saw today had on cableknit sweaters! The only thing missing from today's cozy look is a scarf but I've been wearing scarves just about every day lately and decided to go with a long necklace instead.

This is almost EXACTLY what I wore today. Only I stuck with the skirt and went for leggings underneath with my riding boots. Too cute.
