Transitioning

I really like to transition slowly from one season to the next especially when it comes to my wardrobe. Mixing last season's pieces with this season's makes things more interesting and makes a wardrobe go a little further. Transitioning can be a little difficult here in Georgia because our weather changes so quickly. When I left the house this morning this thick sweater vest was just right but by this afternoon the temps had risen to 80 and I was a little warm! I found this vest Christmas before last at a little shop here in town that has since (sadly) closed. It was in the window all during the holidays. Of course I had my eye on it hoping it wouldn't sell until I had Christmas gift cash on hand. After the New Year it was still there and better yet it was marked down! I happily brought it home and have worn it to death in the past year and a half! It looks handmade, the shop owner said it is, and since there are no tags in it I'll have to take her word for it! The rest of my outfit is my standard "uniform" lately - tunic top, colored skinny pants or jeans and wedges.

The copper and blue stone bracelet among today's stack was made by my amazingly talented artist brother. He's a master metal craftsman and has recently (with a little of my urging) started making jewelry! Yay! He is currently working on an unbelievable statement necklace for me. I can't wait until it's done so I can share it with you all!

Happy Monday! Hope your week is savvy and stylish!
