Confessions and Chevron Stripes

Confession #1... These pictures were taken back in the early spring but never made it to the blog.  They were snapped by my friend Jennifer (of JennySue Makeup) when we were at Lenox Square for one of our Macy's Advisory Board meetings.  When she sent them to me I saved them to my phone instead of my computer which means they got buried in the over 1000 pictures currently on my phone so...

Confession #2... This shirt is one of my favorites and it's really old.  Like I've had it for years.  I bought it one summer at a little boutique in Seaside Florida when we were there on vacation and I've loved it ever since.  What's not to love about bold chevron stripes and cold shoulder detail?

When Shorts Weather and Sweater Weather Collide

We're at that point here in Georgia where shorts and sweaters are equally appropriate on any given day.  The mornings are cool and the afternoons are warm, which is typical early fall in the South!  I'm so ready for all day sweater weather but until then I'll combine fall clothes (like booties and a vest) with summer clothes (like denim shorts and a tank) so I don't suffer heatstroke by 1:00pm but still get my fall fashion fix!

Y'all, yesterday was National Handbag Day!  If you have been a reader of my blog for long you know how much I love handbags!!  I guess you could call me a "handbag collector".  Clutches, satchels, shoulder bags, cross body bags, backpacks... Blogging Break Over! Wedding Style with Agora Vintage

Well, after a six month blogging break I'm FINALLY back with a new post!  I've missed you all and missed the blog so it feels really great to be back!  What better way to return to regular posting than with a collaboration with my favorite vintage shop, Agora Vintage!  My friend, artist and fellow Athens blogger, Hannah Betzel, and I spent a recent Saturday morning styling outfits from Agora's fabulous inventory of vintage and classic clothes, bags, shoes and accessories to share with you all.  What I thought was going to take an hour or so took several because we had the hardest time trying to narrow down our choices!  Agora is vintage and designer heaven!!  We decided to each pull two looks that are appropriate for occasions many of us have this time of the year ~ a wedding look and a travel look.  Today I'm sharing my wedding look and Thursday I'll be back (yay!) with my travel look.

A swingy black and white polkadot midi dress, classic pearls with a twist, patent lace-up sandals and pops of red in the bag and lip make for a perfect wedding outfit that would work for just about any summer wedding from morning to evening.
