Travel Style with Agora Vintage

Today is part two of my collaboration with my favorite vintage shop, Agora Vintage, and my blogger friend, Hannah Betzel.  Earlier this week Hannah and I shared our wedding looks, styled with fabulous vintage and designer finds from our recent trip to Agora and today we are sharing what we'd wear for travel.  Summer travel for me can mean many different things... our annual beach trip with my family, flying up to Pittsburgh to visit my parents, business travel, girl's weekends with my bestie and mini getaways with The Hubs.  My travel uniform for all of these occasions is pretty much the same... comfy jeans, a lightweight long-sleeved top, wedges or flats that are easy to take on and off, a cross-body bag for my essentials and a roomy tote.  Of course no outfit would be complete without fun jewelry and fab sunnies!

~ What I'm Wearing ~

Theory Tunic: Agora Vintage
Kick Flare Jeans (They are a HOT trend this season!): Gap
Chloe Wedges (OBSESSED!!): Agora Vintage
Aviators: Stella & Dot
Glass Beaded Necklace: Agora Vintage (Similar)

Tory Burch Tote (It's SO roomy!!): Agora Vintage
Crossbody Bag: Vera Bradley
Orange Tory Burch Cuff: Agora Vintage

What's your travel uniform?  Do you switch it up depending on the travel occasion or have a tried and true go-to like I do?  Make sure to hop on over to Hannah's Blog to check out her travel style!  It's fabulous!

Styled Three Ways ~ DL1961 Emma Jeans

Hey Everyone!  Me and my blogger bests, Jennifer Duvall and Molly Moon Burton, are back with another addition of our "Styled Three Ways" collaboration.  This time we are each styling a pair of DL1961 Emma Jeans in "drizzle" which is a really cool worn-in gray wash.  I haven't owned a pair of gray jeans in a long time and was super excited when these arrived in my mailbox!  Gray is having a color moment of late and the styling possibilities for these super comfy jeans are endless!

I paired my jeans with a poncho, tunic shirt and booties, all of which of which are hot trends this season.  I'm loving ponchos, aren't you?  I have a few now and they are such a fun completer piece.  I mean, what's better than wearing a stylish blanket all day long?  I'm all about cozy chic fashion!

~ What I'm Wearing ~

Gray Jegging Jeans: DL1961 c/o {These jeans are so comfy they feel like your wearing leggings, not jeans!  I'm planning on getting them in another color or two ASAP!}
Plaid Poncho: Target {The one I'm wearing is already sold out online but may still be in store.  I linked two similar ponchos here and here.}
Henley Tunic Top: Target
Wine Booties: Kenneth Cole REACTION {They come in a few colors}
Necklace: Stella & Dot
Crossbody Bag: Vera Bradley c/o {Completely obsessed with this one!!}

Make sure to check out Jennifer's blog, JennySue Makeup, and Molly's blog, Hey There Sunshine, to get all the details on how they styled their DL1961 Jeans!

When In Doubt a LBJ Is Always Right

Two closet staples every women should own are a LBD (little black dress) and a LBJ (little black jumpsuit).  I've been reaching for my LBJ a lot more than my LBD as of late.  It seems like it's perfect for just about every occasion.  Recently I attended a TIBI fashion show hosted by one of Athens' premier boutiques, Heery's Clothes Closet, and was a bit stumped about what to wear (sadly, I don't (yet) own anything by TIBI) so I reached for my favorite LBJ, leopard pumps (also a closet staple), my latest necklace obsession and of course, a red lip!

~ What I'm Wearing ~
Black Jumpsuit: Shoe Dazzle (sold out) | This one and this one are both on my fall/winter "to get" list (because I need more LBJ's)!
Leopard Pumps: Nine West
Neck Party: The Freya Fringe Necklace layered with the Mixed Metal Sutton Necklace both from Stella & Dot
Red Lip: L'Oreal
Nails: Big Apple Red by OPI

Are you a LBD or a LBJ girl, or both?

The Start of Fall and Fabulous Bags

Happy Fall, Y'all!!  The official start of fall is finally here and the temps actually cooperated enough for me to wear some layers (and even flannel) to celebrate my favorite season!  With the change of seasons also comes a change in my bags.  My usual summer day bag this straw Tory Burch tote that I've carried every summer for the past several years.  I love it but I'm ready to swap it up once Labor Day rolls around.  I began my fall bag search a month or so ago and I fell in love with Vera Bradley's entire new line of totes, cross body's, satchels, backpacks, shoulder bags and clutches.  They are all so fabulous it was hard to choose which would be my go-to bag for fall.  I was torn between this navy and black bowler satchel and this cheetah calf hair beauty and then I came across this denim and quilted leather satchel and knew it was the one.  Dress it up, dress it down, work day or date night, it's the perfect bag for me!

Empire State Finery Trunk Show

As a blogger/stylist I go to a lot of events and most of them are in Atlanta, which is a 1-2 hour drive depending on venue, so I was really excited when one of my favorite local Athens boutiques, Heery's, said they were having an Empire State Finery trunk show hosted by one of my all time favorite bloggers (and WC), Mandy Kellogg Rye of Waiting on Martha.  I was not familiar with Empire State Finery until the trunk show and now this accessory loving girl is a huge fan!  This super cool jewelry line was founded by Paige Booker and Alice Trahant right here in Georgia, which is the Empire State of the South, hence the name. Their line of hand crafted necklaces pays homage to their southern heritage and features everything from vintage vinyl to salmon vertebrae, boars tusk (my favorite) to bullet shells.  There is a casual vibe to the line making each necklace an everyday essential but a statement piece at the same time.  I got to spend some time with one of the designers, Alice, and hear about how Empire State Finery got it's start, how much it's grown in the past two years and their exciting plans for the future.

Empire State Finery's necklaces are made from a variety of materials which makes each piece unique.

This is three necklaces layered together to make a serious statement!

The porter jr. is right up my alley in my favorite color, turquoise.

The emmett is my favorite piece in the line.  It has so many beautiful colors that the styling options are endless!

The event's hostess, Mandy, of Waiting on Martha.  If you don't follow her and read her blog you are missing out!  She's amazing!

Alice, one of the super talented designers of Empire State Finery.

You can find out more about Empire State Finery and purchase these unique pieces HERE.

Thanks Heery's, Mandy and Empire State Finery for a great time!

Baseball Inspired Sweatshirt and Leather Pants

I got this sweatshirt/sweater during my trip to The Loft Boutique back in November when they invited me to their Cheers to Nine Years celebration (see my post on this fabulous shop and the event here).  The Hubs actually picked this top out for me.  I think he likes it because it's baseball inspired.  I like it because of the mixed media aspect (I'm a fan of anything with texture) and... that it's really comfortable! It goes well with jeans and of course, leather pants, which are my obsession this season.

How cool is this wall?  I just love shooting pics in downtown Athens!

What I'm Wearing ~

This Skirt

How fabulous is this skirt?  From the full skater style to the bold colors and fun pattern it's a stunner!  This skirt makes such a statement I paired it with a neutral, feminine blouse, black shoes and clutch that would let the skirt be the focus of the outfit and not compete for attention.  I kept the jewelry simple too with an arm stack of thin bangles with turquoise detail and stud earrings.

What I'm Wearing ~
Skirt: Flying Tomato via Encore (Similar here)
Blouse: Tulle via Encore (Long sleeve version here)
Clutch: BCBGeneration via Encore (Love this one too!)
Lace Up Cage Booties: BCBGeneration via T.J.Maxx (These are fab!)

This skirt looks good coming and going!

Today's the day!!  Join me at Encore in beautiful downtown Athens from 5:00 - 9:00pm for the latest in fall fashions (including the fabulous outfit above), stunning Stella & Dot jewelry and accessories, sips and sweet treats from The Sweet Trend and styling by me!  A portion of the Encore proceeds go directly to University of Georgia Relay for Life.  See you at 186 East Clayton Street, Athens, Georgia 30601!

Cheeky Peach

If you read my blog, follow me on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook or just talk to me (ha!) you know how much I LOVE my little town, Athens, Georgia.  You also know how much I LOVE all the fabulous shops and restaurants my little town has to offer!  One of my favorite Athens shops, Cheeky Peach, moved to a new location on Clayton (in Athens, Clayton is the place to be!) and I was invited to attend their private VIP sneak peek the night before they officially opened the doors of their fabulous new space!!  A few days before their move they had a "we're moving so everything in the store is $5" clearance sale at their old location and of course my daughter and I had to hurry down there and take advantage of the amazing opportunity!  I scored $316 worth of stuff ~ dresses, pants, tops and a romper ~ for only $37 and my daughter did about the same!  The dress I wore to the VIP Sneak Peek was one I bought at their moving sale!

Katie, the owner of Cheeky Peach, did an amazing job with every detail of the new space.  From the fabulous pink roll up garage door and the amazing light up Cheeky Peach sign (I'm obsessed) to the exposed brick walls and the on trend and carefully curated fashions hanging on the racks, Cheeky Peach is one awesome shopping experience!!

In front of the pink roll-up garage door outside Cheeky Peach!

What I'm Wearing ~
Boho Maxi Dress: Cheeky Peach (similar here)
Nude Lace Up Sandals: Deb (Love these)
Tote: Tory Buch (I'm craving this one for fall!)
Sunnies: Pucci

Me and Katie, Cheeky Peach's fabulous owner (And we are both in outfits from the shop)

Can we just talk about how AMAZING this sign is!?!?!?

I'm not sure what happened to the bottom of my dress on the way to the event! I must have been sitting on it! #whereisasteamerwhenyouneedit

My daughter and I thought this sign was too funny!

The back of the shop and the dressing rooms

Fabulous turnout at the VIP Sneak Peek party!!

I love exposed brick, don't you?!

I can't get enough of this sign!

If you live in Athens or if you can get to Athens you MUST shop at Cheeky Peach located at 160 West Clayton Street!  If you can't they have a great website, and you can follow them on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest!  Look for a collab with me and Cheeky Peach soon!!
